タイでは、ソンクラーン（タイ旧正月）前に大雨が降ることが、結構あるのですが、今回の大雨は大きな被害を出しています。

A total of 40 people were now confirmed killed by the flash floods and mudslides caused by heavy rainstorms that have hit several southern provinces since March 23, the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department reported on Sunday.

3月23日以降降り続いている南部の大雨で、鉄砲雨および濁流に飲まれ死亡が確認されている人数は、40名に達した。　災害予防対策局が日曜日に報告を行った。

Southern flood dead toll rises to 45

A total of 45 people were now confirmed killed by the flash floods and mudslides caused by heavy rainstorms that have hit ten southern provinces since March 23, Public Health Minister Jurin Laksanawisit said on Sunday afternoon.

Of the total, 19 were in Nakhon Si Thammarat, 10 in Surat Thani, 9 in Krabi, 3 in Phatthalung and 2 each in Chumphon, Trang, according to the minister.

厚生大臣の日曜日夕方の発表によると、死者数は45名に上った。　地域別では、ナコンシータマラート(10名）、スラタニ(9名)、クラビ（3名)等となっている。

特に、南部クラビは有名な観光地ですから、多くの旅行者は気を付けて、もしくは旅行を控えるよう対策を講じられることを期待しますね。
